We asked grandparents for this set for 18 month old’s second Christmas, and it has been enjoyed for stacking, joining, making 3d shapes, making 2d shapes on the fridge, in colour sorting, shape sorting, as a tool to learn colour and shape vocabulary, shining a torch through the transparent plastic to cast coloured lights on the wall at night, as an imaginative toy to make houses for animals and small toys and will only grow more useful to make complex structures as he grows. I’d say buy these early, you get the use out of them most definitely. First toy he will play with independently for an extended period too, and it is also a great toy for relatives who are less confident engaging toddler to play with too.
