Encourage creative, hands-on learning with this beautiful Aboriginal Symbol Playdough Rolling Balls Set, thoughtfully designed to support storytelling, sensory play, and early learning. Created for Koolangka ‘kids’ to explore while kadadjiny ‘learning’ about Aboriginal artwork symbols through ‘waabiny’ play, this set offers a meaningful way to engage children in open-ended exploration.
Children can use the rollers to create their own stories across a variety of sensory settings. Roll them through damp sand in a pit or tray, glide them over paint on a sponge for a light stamp-like effect on paper or card, or use them in playdough to make textured impressions. The smooth wooden surface also makes them ideal for quiet play, where children can relax, trace the patterns with their fingers, and share stories with friends.
This set includes 6 wooden rolling balls and a wooden tray, with each ball measuring 5cm. The symbols and concept were developed by emerging Noongar artist Simone Hills, a member of the Indigenous Arts Code.
Please note that this product is designed to leave a light impression rather than a deep stamper or cutter-style finish.
