In this puzzle about coral, there are animals living in the coral reef. You will see for instance a ray, a brain coral, a starfish, a jellyfish, a lionfish, a hammerhead shark, seahorses and a sea turtle. And have you ever heard of the snipe knife fish? It swims with its heads pointing downwards and all together they look like feathers or leaves. Many new words can be learned because some animal-names are quite specific e.g. yellow puffer fish and moray eel. Of course it is also quit alright for the children to simply say fish and (sea) snake.

The animals and their names are all described in a manual. The manual contains 6 languages, so this also offers the possibility to learn these animals in a foreign language!

A beautiful puzzle
We inherited some vintage wooden educo puzzles that have lasted many years and I am so pleased to see that this new educo puzzle is the same beautiful quality. The little guide that accompanies the puzzle is a lovely addition for older children to learn the names of the sea-life. My almost-four-year-old loves it, and his older brother has also enjoyed helping him to find the animals named in the booklet.

Beautiful feel and colours
I watch my 3.5yo put this together methodically and you can see there's a spread of more difficult pieces and easier patterns to put together. She works with the pieces and super excited to have completed it herself.
