The little ring within the knife helps teaches the correct positioning of the fingers when cutting. The handle is made with a beautiful beech wood.
It also comes with a Finger Guard that protects the hand holding the food being cut. It allows the child to adopt the position of the claw safely. The claw being the position of having the first two knuckles bent and the thumb and little finger holding the food.
This complete first kitchen tools set also comes with a vegetable peeler which has a little ring that guides the finger with the correct positioning for peeling. Peeling is made easy with a pulling action. Both peeler and knife is made with a high quality stainless steel and requires no maintenance at all.
