Now made from natural FSC pine, each figure has a 15mm flat base making them sturdy and easy to stand up. 

This wooden character set is based on Helen Oxenbury’s artwork from We’re Going on a Bear Hunt by Michael Rosen. The figures provide a playful way for children to engage with the story and practise the language from the book, while exploring new versions of their own. Why not recreate the different environments featured in the story – grassland, woodland, mud, water, and snow scenes.

Safe for age 18m+.

Each set includes the following: Bear (160 x 160mm), Man and Baby (60 x 175mm), Older Girl (50 x 120mm), Younger Girl (45 x 100mm), Boy (50 x 90mm) and Dog (85 x 50mm).

    Bear hunt

    My son is obsessed with going on a bear hunt. So to scaffold this interest we purchased this playscape and figurines. What can I say, this is amazingly crafted and has served hpira of endless fun. The bear figurine is a little larger than expected but I also bought a smaller figurine to accommodate the bear to fit in the cave. Love love ❤️

    Bigger than I expected!

    They were bigger than I was expecting! Great quality. My daughter fell in love with them instantly, and ran to find her Bear Hunt book and make a cave for the bear!

    Has encouraged my son to talk!

    I purchased the Tara Treasures Large Felt Bear Hunt Play Mat Playscape 80cm and also the timber characters from Bear Hunt as my son (5.5 years old) who is autistic loves me reading him the book and watches constant videos on it and I thought these might help with him develop his 'creative play' (he usually just lines toys up and throws them). Not only did it encourage him to move the characters through the felt play mat but he started saying the words from the book! (he was almost completely non verbal or just spoke jibberish). He has also started changing up the characters on the board (example. using little lego characters and then having a dragon in the cave and changing the words to "its a dragon, ruuun!!") which is massive for him as things usually need to stay exactly the same. This purchase has been a game-changer for us!
